Surah Al-Mulk [22]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 22

Then is one who walks fallen on his face better guided or one who walks erect on a straight path?‏

Surah Al-Mulk [23]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 23

Say, "It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts [i.e., intellect]; little are you grateful."

Surah Al-Mulk [24]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 24

Say, "It is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered."

Surah Al-Mulk [25]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 25

And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"

Surah Al-Mulk [26]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 26

Say, "The knowledge is only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner."

Surah Al-Mulk [27]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 27

But when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will be distressed, and it will be said, "This is that for which you used to call."

Surah Al-Baqarah [183-187]

Al-Baqarah, Ayah 183-187

O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous - Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of other days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers good [i.e., excess] - it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew. The month of Ramaḍān [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’ān, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the crescent of] the month,1 let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. And when My servants ask you, [O Muḥammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are a clothing for you and you are a clothing1 for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves,2 so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you [i.e., offspring]. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the night [i.e., sunset]. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah, so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His verses [i.e., ordinances] to the people that they may become righteous.

Surah Al-Baqarah [273-274]

Al-Baqarah, Ayah 273-274

[Charity is] for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of Allah, unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it. Those who spend their wealth [in Allah's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Surah Sad [29]

Sad, Ayah 29

[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.

Surah Al-Qadr [1-5]

Al-Qadr, Ayah 1-5

Indeed, We sent it [i.e., the Qur’ān] down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

Surah Al-Mulk [28]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 28

Say, [O Muḥammad], "Have you considered: whether Allah should cause my death and those with me or have mercy upon us, who can protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?"

Surah Al-Mulk [29]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 29

Say, "He is the Most Merciful; we have believed in Him, and upon Him we have relied. And you will [come to] know who it is that is in clear error."

Surah Al-Mulk [30]

Al-Mulk, Ayah 30

Say, "Have you considered: if your water was to become sunken [into the earth], then who could bring you flowing water?"

Surah Al-Insaan [1]

Al-Insaan, Ayah 1

Has there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [even] mentioned?

Surah Al-Insaan [2]

Al-Insaan, Ayah 2

Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture1 that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.

Surah Al-Insaan [3]

Al-Insaan, Ayah 3

Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful.

Surah Al-Insaan [4]

Al-Insaan, Ayah 4

Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze.

Surah Al-Insaan [5]

Al-Insaan, Ayah 5

Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kāfūr,

Surah Al-Insaan [6]

Al-Insaan, Ayah 6

A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allāh will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance].

Surah Al-Insaan [7]

Al-Insaan, Ayah 7

They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread.

Surah Al-Insaan [8]

Al-Insaan, Ayah 8

And they give food in spite of love for it1 to the needy, the orphan, and the captive,
